GOOSEHILL HALL COTTAGES - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Thank you for choosing to book a cottage at Goosehill Hall, we hope you enjoy your stay with us. As your hosts, we shall do everything reasonably expected of us, however, when you make this booking, you are entering into a contract with us, so please take the time to read the conditions below.
YOUR BOOKING
CHARGES AND TERMS. To confirm a booking we shall require a non-returnable deposit of 25% payable by credit or debit card. We cannot take provisional bookings. The balance will be collected one calendar month before the start date using the same payment card details. Please inform us if your payment card details change. We reserve the right to cancel the booking if full payment is not received. If a booking is made less than one month prior to the start date of your holiday, payment must be made in full at the time of booking.
BOOKING DETAILS. No more than the number of persons stated on the booking form may occupy each property. The holiday may not be transferred to another party or sold on without our knowledge and permission. We reserve the right to refuse a booking which we do not feel is suitable for our accommodation. This would include hen and stag parties or other groups which may cause disturbance to other guests.
CANCELLATION. Providing we receive notice of cancellation by letter or email at least one month before the date of the holiday, you will not be liable to pay the balance. The deposit is non-refundable. In the unlikely event that the accommodation becomes unavailable and we have to cancel your holiday, then our liability is limited to a full refund, including the initial deposit.
DURING YOUR STAY
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE. Your accommodation will be available to you from 4pm on the day of arrival. Please arrive in the timeslot agreed, park in the allotted space and unload the car before the next time slot. Please leave the site by 9:30am on the day of departure, having followed any steps set out in the Coronavirus measures. Please leave the cottage in a clean and tidy condition and notify us of any breakages or items requiring attention.
SMOKING POLICY. Our property is non-smoking both indoors and throughout the grounds and gardens.
PETS. REGISTERED FULLY TRAINED assistance dogs apart, we regret that we do not accept pets. The field which can be accessed direct from the Cottages is used by a neighbouring farmer for grazing sheep and we must ensure their safety at all times. Assistance dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
COTTAGE HANDBOOK. Each guest will have access to a website that includes details of the procedures to follow in the event of an emergency, our policies in respect of recycling and how to use the equipment within the cottage. Please read these on or before arrival.
DAMAGES AND BREAKAGES. We ask that you take reasonable care of our property. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damage you may cause to the accommodation and its contents during your stay. Please report these as soon as they occur. We would not usually charge for minor breakages, but we reserve the right to charge you for deep cleaning, repair or replacement if the damage is significant. Please let us know if any appliance needs attention, and we will endeavour to repair or replace it within a reasonable time.
PARTIES OCCUPYING MORE THAN ONE COTTAGE. Prior to departure it is your responsibility that any items moved between cottages must be returned. This includes, but is not limited to, crockery, cutlery, kitchen equipment and garden furniture. If items are not returned we will take additional payment for the time spent sorting out the cottages affected.
LIABILITY. Visitors are asked to take care whilst on our property. Parents are particularly asked to ensure the safety of their children at all times and not to leave them unattended in the property or the grounds. In particular, no guest should approach those areas of the Goosehill Hall site where building work is being carried out, and the swimming pool building, currently used as a store for building materials is strictly out of bounds.
We do not accept responsibility or liability for injury or damage to and loss of guests property, cars and contents, and you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from and against all actions, claims, costs and proceedings (including legal fees incurred defending the same) arising from your acts or omissions (and those in your party) whist on our property.
In the event of guest misbehaviour or other necessary cause, we reserve the right to terminate the let without any refund of letting monies.
GENERAL MATTERS
PAYMENTS. We reserve the right to request additional payment in respect of replacing lost keys, the repair or replacement of items broken or damaged (excluding normal wear and tear) during your stay, additional cleaning where the cottage is not left in a normal condition, and late departure. Payment will be taken using your card details. We will of course inform you if we need to take such payments.
