Our largest cottage, the Barn combines views in three directions, old roof beams and timbers and its own private garden.  Downstairs the dining and lounge areas are very large, making it ideal if you are taking more than one cottage.

The cottage enjoys underfloor heating (upstairs and down), high speed wifi and easily operated blinds for the large windows when you need some privacy.  Guests will also have the use of a secure cycle box; useful for your outdoor equipment and muddy boots.

The front door leads from the garden into an entrance hall, with plenty of space for boots and coats and a downstairs cloakroom.

Downstairs the kitchen, dining and lounge areas are open plan:

•The kitchen is fully fitted, with washer/dryer and dishwasher.

•The dining area includes a table that can easily seat sixteen.

•The large lounge has three sofas and two armchairs, and views in three directions through historic niche windows and large glass filled cart openings.

Upstairs the most notable features are the old roof timbers. Some timbers are visible in each upstairs room; the locations of the beams dictate the quirky room sizing.

•The master bedroom is a large room with a king size bed and views towards the Great Ridge.  Access to the en-suite facilities is via some steps – up one side of an old structural bean and down the other side.

•The larger twin room has views up the hill behind Goosehill Hall and towards Winnats pass.

•The second twin room is smaller.  It contains two full size single beds but no additional storage other than space under each bed for your luggage.  There is also a wardrobe on the landing that can be used

•The twin rooms share the main bathroom.
